Microscopic view of a whipworm. Whipworm can cause bloody diarrhea but may also have no symptoms. Dogs get whipworm from ingesting eggs usually from soil -   the eggs can survive many years in the soil. It is important to have an annual stool check performed and when your pet has diarrhea. Leash- free parks can be a source of parasites in dogs.
